The essence of Vietnamese apricot is ignited in a sip of alcohol with 44% alcohol content. This Apricot Liquor is distilled twice for 2 years, including the resting and distillation phases.
The apricots used are from Moc Chau, known for their aromatic, intense, and seductive scent. Through a unique process of double distillation in copper plate stills, the first distillation was done at the end of 2021, followed by the second one in mid-2022. Only 35 purest extracts were obtained from each distillation, resulting in the creation of the Premium Apricot Liquor 44% Vol.
The technique of distilling Apricot Liquor fruit is crucial in producing high-quality spirits. Apricot Liquor, also known as the water of life or spirit taken from the heart of the distillation process, excludes the head and tail parts, creating a fruit-based spirit not derived from grapes and not aged in oak barrels. Distilling grape juice into wine, and aging it in oak barrels, results in Brandy Cognac and Armagnac, two of the finest quality brandies available.
Eau de Vie originates from France, but other regions such as Southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Northern Italy also produce excellent varieties. This type of spirit is typically made from raw ingredients, which can be fermented or aged for a certain period – liqueur. The fermentation or aging process depends on the type of fruit used, and it can undergo single or double distillation based on the desired level of purity by the producer.
Typically colorless, Apricot Liquor is immediately stored in stainless steel tanks or small glass bottles after distillation without being aged in oak barrels. It is a complete, pure product that cannot be compared. The essence of the fruit is fully extracted, encapsulated, and explodes in a sip of 40 to 70% alcohol by volume.
