Moc Chau is a district located in the southeast of Son La province, well-known for its Moc Chau Plateau. The region is famous for various types of apricots such as golden apricots and fragrant apricots, but the most delicious and beautiful are the velvet apricots. The apricot season is short, lasting from March to April. When the fruits on the branches change from green to pinkish-red, farmers harvest them. Velvet apricots have a light fuzz covering the thick, sour skin, with soft and fragrant flesh.
We select the best velvet apricots from Moc Chau’s apricot forest to infuse into our liquor. The liquor has a vibrant orange-yellow color, with a sweet and tangy taste, and a hint of almond from the apricot seeds.
It pairs well with grilled dishes, salads, stir-fries, stews, and hot pots. It is best enjoyed chilled.
Moc Chau Velvet Apricot Liqueur has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 19%.
